Have you discovered the urban trails of Fuengirola yet? The city offers five exciting urban hiking routes, each tailored to different levels of difficulty and length. Designed to promote healthy habits and showcase Fuengirola’s most attractive spots, the city’s Urban Trails Network invites you to explore diverse areas while enjoying a healthy walk.
With mostly flat terrain, Fuengirola is perfect for exploring on foot. The Urban Trails Network includes five routes that span a total of 21 points of interest. Each route is unique in its level of difficulty and distance, making it easy for everyone to find a trail that suits their preferences.
The first route, ‘Sohail,’ begins and ends at Plaza de España, covering five kilometers and taking approximately two hours to complete. This trail takes you to the iconic Sohail Castle, offering a blend of history and nature.
Soon, other routes will be available, such as the ‘Centro Trail,’ a four-kilometer route starting from Plaza de la Constitución that takes about an hour, and the ‘Bulevar de La Loma,’ a six-kilometer path beginning and ending at the Fairground, with a journey time of about one and a half hours.
Additionally, you’ll be able to explore the ‘Toro de Torreblanca Trail,’ which starts at Plaza Pedro Cuevas and covers nearly five kilometers in one hour, and the ‘Mar Trail,’ the most challenging and longest route, starting from the same plaza and stretching over eight kilometers, taking around two hours to complete.
All trails will be clearly marked with tiles on the ground, and the city has installed information posts at the start of each route.
